Jen Blair
Jen is a Master Cicerone and National BJCP beer judge. She is the Exam Manager for the Cicerone Certification Program and co-host of False Bottomed Girls, a podcast about beer and brewing. She is a graduate of the UC-Davis Applied Sensory and Consumer Sciences program. Jen is a judge for the Great American Beer Festival, Festival of Barrel-Aged Beer, and World Beer Cup. Her work in training and empowering people historically excluded from beer judging and other beer spaces has earned her recognition as a Good Beer Hunting 2021 Signifier as well as inclusion on the 2022 VinePair 50, Wine Enthusiast Future 40, and Imbibe's Top 75 lists.
Patrick Combs
Master Cicerone® Patrick Combs is the Director of Liquids at Stem Ciders and Howdy Beer Co. His quality-focused career began at Avery Brewing Co, where he served as a Sensory Scientist and developed a deep appreciation for the art and science of beer. He later transitioned to a role with Cerebral Brewing as their Production Manager, where he led the team in winning a coveted FoBAB Gold medal. Patrick's expertise was later employed by WeldWerks Brewing Co, where he honed his abnormal adjunct addition abilities and established a world-class quality lab from the ground up. In his role at Stem Ciders & Howdy Beer Co., Patrick leads the production team, pushing the boundaries of flavor possibilities while maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality.
