District Great Plains Members,
As some of you know World Brewing Congress is quickly approaching and District Great Plains leadership wanted to give one member the chance to attend at a noticeably discounted rate! For the first time since 2016, the Congress will combine the American Society of Brewing Chemists, Master Brewers Association of the Americas, Brewery Convention of Japan, European Brewery Convention, and the Institute of Brewing and Distilling for 3 days of hands-on workshops, engaging scientific and technical sessions, interactive panel discussions, and memorable networking with fellow peers and experts from over 25 countries around the world. This opportunity is in continued pursuit of bettering the membership through funds raised by the district. Please see the guidelines below and we look forward to formally extending the opportunity next month.

• Scholarship covers the cost or registration and travel up to a total of $1,500
• If you choose to stay at the HQ hotel (Hilton Minneapolis) we will receive a discount registration, leaving $605 for travel reimbursement. If you stay elsewhere there will be $505 available for travel reimbursement. The choice is yours.
• Registration will be paid directly by the District via a discount code that you will be provided for registration.
• Travel reimbursement will be paid out upon confirmation of attendance and indication of which hotel option was used. (Note, getting a check issued typically takes a couple of weeks)
• Please do not put your name or identifying information on the application form except where requested. We want to send these to the scholarship committee anonymously.
• Selection will be determined by a scholarship committee. The committee will be made up of three District Officers and the stipend will be awarded based on the content of your written application.
• Deadline for Applications is July 1, 2024
• Selection will be announced July 15, 2024
