Also worth mentioning, in my experience, you certainly can exceed 2 kg pellets/m2. But in that case, you need a standpipe, racking arm and/or an in-line filter to trap hop material that drags out during wort cool. Unfortunately, you have to accept higher losses. As you know, that's why highly hopped beers benefit from T-45 or even hop extract.

the designer will size the vessel according to my needs so I'm curious about hop loads on such a design.
