I wanted to let you all know about three upcoming Tasting with Cicerone workshops in Atlanta.
The first two workshops are scheduled just ahead of Crafted for Action. I will lead both workshops.
Our
Tasting with Cicerone: Beer Sensory Workshop will take place on Tuesday, June 17, at 1:00 p.m. at Round Trip Brewing in Atlanta. The course is $99.00 and runs for about two hours. During the workshop, attendees learn the following:
- Practical approaches to beer tasting and evaluation
- Familiarity with six common off flavors and their sources
- How to assess the difference between closely related beer styles
Attendees also have the opportunity to practice blind tasting panels for off flavors, style identification, and determining whether a beer shows signs of mishandling.
- Flavor descriptor development
- Style discrimination strategies
- Identification of twelve different off flavors
Attendees will also practice blind tasting exercises and learn new ways to continue practicing their tasting skills.
Lastly, our
Tasting with Cicerone: Beer Sensory Master Class is an immersive three-day course taught by multiple Master Cicerones designed to develop a comprehensive mix of beer sensory skills. The course is $1495.00 and will begin on Tuesday, July 22, also at Round Trip. Each day will feature multiple blind taste panels and practice sessions with guided discussions and feedback.
