Yes, we have had issues with the supplier of our original brewing equipment and I know you are familiar with them as well. Upon further inspection it is leaking from all four legs of the BBT.
looked over our glycol system and from that data there doesn't seem to be anything unusual that happened from a pressure perspective.
We are getting in contact with our welder to see what can be done.
What sort of lifetime are usually seen out of stainless tanks under normal ware conditions?
Thanks for the help so far James.
Cheers

Hello Matt,
It sounds like your glycol is not dyed; otherwise, it would be easier to trace where the leak comes from. Food grade propylene glycol can feel a little bit viscous. You may touch areas where you concerned the problems are to exclude the possibility of the fitting connections.
If you consider the leak could come from inside, it is possible to pressurize the glycol jacket and leave it overnight to observe for any pressure drop. A qualified welder will be able to do such a test with a dye and comment on the repair once the location of the leak is identified.
You may want to consider the root cause for this issue whether is because of the quality of the tank, overpressurized supply, or a combination of both. Nevertheless, I suggest adding a red dye in your glycol to enhance the visibility. Talk to your glycol supplier for options.
Feel free to contact me directly (jt6945@google mail) if I can be more helpful.
Cheers,

Subject: Tank leaking glyco out of legs
Hello,
I have a tank that potentially has a glycol leak on the inside of the shell. I first noticed some glycol under my brite tank last week. Upon noticing it I went and tightened the connections on the back of the tank and filled my chiller with glycol that was missing.
I came in this morning and noticed another puddle under my BBT. Once I took a closer look i noticed no glycol trail on the back of the tank. Instead I noticed puddling on the pads that feet of the tank rest of. This is weird as the water below the tank isn't high enough to get there. This is why I believe it is leaking through the legs.
I was wondering if there is any way to confirm my thought? Does anyone else have experience with a similar issue? How did you go about solving this?
Thanks in advance for the help.
