Hi Adam, great question. I just did a quick search of the Journal of the Institute of Brewing using just the word "spund" and turned up zero results. I realize that this doesn't answer your question, but I at least wanted to clarify what you would have found when searching JIB. To be clear/fair, other search terms may yield what you're looking for.
