    Hola MBAA Carolinas!

We are thrilled to announce the MBAA Technical Conference, slated for May 4th at Hopfly Brewing, located at 1327 S Mint St, Charlotte NC.

Amidst the challenges facing our industry, this conference will spotlight innovation as our guiding principle. Here's what we are planning thus far:

    3. Panel titled "Finding Success...Again" moderated by Andrew Coplon of Craft Beer Professionals on how and where panelists find inspiration before delving into a discussion on new avenues shaping the industry.

    Ticket Prices:

    • $35 for members
    • $50 for non-members
    • $25 for enrolled students

    Networking and Tailgating:

And finally, it wouldn't be an MBAA conference if I didn't throw in some extra socializing and networking opportunities. Let's connect with our peers during a Charlotte FC tailgating event! I'd love to gauge interest in coordinating group tickets ($46) for the home Charlotte FC MLS match against Portland Timbers at 7:30 pm. Message me and I'll add your name to the working list below. Camaraderie and The Crown!

Mark your calendars. Spread the word. And as we solidify plans and speakers, you'll be the first to know. And if you have any feedback, please shoot me a message!

    Salud,

    -Nikko

    P.S.

In addition to our upcoming Technical Conference in Charlotte, mark your calendars for another event in late October, taking place in Asheville!

We will be welcoming the national board and executive committee for another technical conference and a special ceremony. We are thrilled to announce the coronation of former MBAA Carolinas president, Molly Browning, as the President of Nationals. Join us as we celebrate Molly's remarkable journey and leadership within our association. In addition to the technical talks, we will have Lauren Torres of Anton Paar, Brian Faivre of New Realm Brewing, Marcus Powers of Zipline Brewing, and Doug Wilson of Hopsteiner.

Stay tuned for more details and updates regarding the October event.

    P.P.S.

I am not a graphic designer but I tried to make a flyer. If anyone can design something cool, post it here!

Good morning everyone! I have updates!

    Ticket Prices:

    $35 for members

    $50 for non-members

    $25 for enrolled students

    Event Page:

Galen created the Official Event through the MBAA page so that you can register before the event. Registering before the event gives our lunch vendor a better idea of what to expect and prepare. If your company would like to sponsor this event, sponsorship details are also on the Event page.

    Scholarship:

We'd like to get the ball rolling on scholarship committee so right after the lunch break we'd like to have an open discussion about raising funds for scholarship, parameters, application process, selection, etc. We'd really like our district to be able to support our members who would like to attend the MBAA courses.

    Night Prior Happy Hour:

Some folks have reached out about meeting for a pint the night before the event and they've decided to grab dinner at Resident Culture's South End location at 5:30/6 pm.

    Charlotte FC Soccer:

I spoke with Charlotte FC about group rate tickets for after our MBAA meeting. If we get 10 or more people together for a soccer match, I can order the tickets directly through a CLTFC rep, which means tickets would be $46 per person (NO ADDTIONAL FEES). However, we'd need a final headcount a few weeks before the event. I'll edit this post with a running list of those wanting to go to the soccer match.

    • Brett Taubman - App State
    • Stephen Daniels - Filtrox
    • Andrew Coplon & Plus 1 - Craft Beer Professionals Network
    • Nikko Contti - MBAA
    • Jack Smith - Crank Arm Brewing
    • Tim Gormley - Burial Beer & Visuals Wine
    • Austin & Jeni - Hopfly Brewing
    • Farr - Hopfly Brewing
    • Reilly and his wife - Hopfly Brewing
    • Jonathan Parker - Prairie Malt
    • Jon Davidson - Prairie Malt
    • Mike & Camilla - Briess Malt
    • Galen - MaltEurop
    • Chris - Cabarrus Brewing
    • Gary - Cabarrus Brewing
    • Hunter Dawson: Revelry Brewing
    • Geoff Belcher: New Realm Brewing
    • Spencer Owen & Carolina - Siemens Energy
    • More to come...
    • Working Total: 23 people

I'll edit the original post above to reflect these changes.

A few people have reached out with difficulties registering. The MBAA websites/event pages are a bit wonky, so it's not just you. Click HERE to register for the event. I've also edited the original post with the embedded link. I'm loving the responses we've been getting from Charleston to the Outer Banks to Columbia, SC. The Carolinas are getting stoked. Don't hesitate to email me with questions or comments!

If you want to go to the soccer match, let me know! I have to get those final numbers to CLT FC in two weeks.
