Thanks to everyone that braved the rain and came out to Societe Brewing this past Saturday!
We had a great turn out and learned plenty about Flammable Safety, Maintenance Troubleshooting, and A Brewer's Perspective on AI. Those presentations, along with the 2025 Hop Harvest Report from our Gold sponsor Haas, are all posted in the District Presentation Archives for your future reference.
If you missed the meeting but are interested in volunteering your time as a board member of the Southern California Chapter, please send your name, bio, and which position you are excited about to teddy@societebrewing.com, frank.bez@promachbuilt.com, or myself and we will get you on the voting roll.
Also, if you missed it, we will be giving out another scholarship to an MBAA course this year, thanks in part to our generous sponsors, White Labs joining Haas as a Gold level, Statco-DSI and Donaldson Filtration at the Silver level, and Crosby Hops, Briess Malting, New York Life, Dalum Beverage, and Hopsteiner with Bronze level sponsorship! Please submit a one-page summary explaining why you want to take your chosen course, how it will benefit your future endeavors, and why your current duties make you a good candidate for the scholarship to any of the current board members by December 31st.
Lastly, the Southern California chapter is a big one, encompassing not just everywhere in California south of Santa Barbara, but also Arizona and southern Nevada. We think it would be a great time to include some of those folks, and our MBAA Calculations course director is a proud brewer in Las Vegas, NV. We are going to invade his space on March 7th, 2026. It's only double my daily commute to drive there and I know there are some stupid cheap flight options that exist, so let's go! More details to follow.
Cheers,
