Due to space limitations and installing new remote outside FV's, we are looking at options for harvesting and storing yeast from our new outside fermenters.
Has anyone setup/used a mobile yeast brink where we can move the brink around depending on use/needs?
- we can install quick connect glycol hoses for cooling once filled
- we have several electrical outlets including 120v and 480v outlets throughout the brewery.
- harvest will be from 120bbl fv's, eventually 240's.
We will have a swing/transfer panel hard piped to outside tanks.
We would CIP/SIP the brink at an appropriate location to prep for filling.
We would roll the tank to the swing panel and fill with yeast
- we plan on a PD pump to pull yeast from FV and will have a Phase Change/Turbidity meter inline to monitor slurry to beer at FV's.
We can then move the brink to a dedicated location with power/glycol until need to pitch to a new FV.
Would love to hear if anyone has set something like this up.
Thanks!!!
