Hey y'all! Our brewery recently acquired a secondhand inline labeler from a Wild Goose system (manufactured by Inline Filling Systems, serial #50793). It was working great for about a week after fitting it in, but we were soon seeing an issue with the wrap unit, specifically with the take-up roll collecting the empty web. After a lot of troubleshooting we removed the plate covering the belt/motor area and saw that there was a lot of particulate (dust?) from this disk between some of the plates on the bottom of the uptake arm. It seems that it was being pressed too tightly and was literally bursting out the sides, and had been smoothed to the point that friction was no longer catching and spinning the top half of the arm, thus allowing the empty web to pool and warp back around itself further up the line. As you can imagine, that causes a lot of downtime, so we wanted to replace the damaged parts, here's where we need help. We managed to get a line of communication started with some service reps at Inline Filling (how we got our hands on a manual), but the manual has nothing in it about the inner workings of the motor-driven belt and its components, so I don't know what the parts we need are called, or where to get them, and they are no longer responding to our emails or calls. Does anyone have a reliable contact at Inline Filling or know a vendor that services these machines that you could point me towards so we can look at ordering replacement parts and rebuild this little guy? We rigged up a (very) temporary fix by fitting a triclamp gasket underneath the smoothed-out pad to keep it spinning, but even it is starting to bulge outwards, so something else is probably awry but we know we need to fix this other issue, too. This is the first canning line I've worked on so I apologize for my lack of technical jargon haha. Thanks so much in advance if anyone can help!!
