Does anyone know of any specifications or literature on how much PSI there should be on a keg full of beer.

    Thanks
    Marvin

Hi Marvin - With a standard cold room temperature of 38F and a beer kegged with 2.6 v/v CO2 in solution at 35F, the pressure in the headspace should be in the range of 10 to 12 PSIG. This pressure should be taken at least one hour after filling to allow the beer in the keg to settle. If you are filling against a keg counter pressure of 15 PSIG and a beer supply pressure of 40 PSIG, the aforementioned should be in that range, if you are overfilling the keg then you will end up with pressure near the 40 PSIG pump pressure.

    Hope this helps,

    Jeff.
