A friend of mine (who needs to join the MBAA!) asked me a question about the suggested insulation thickness to use on 2.5" glycol lines that will be carrying 26ºF glycol in a conditioned space. The primary concern is prevention of condensation. The dew point temperature is assumed to be 55ºF (50% RH at 75ºF). It turns out this is not an easy problem to solve, but he was able to find this handy dandy calculator that I wanted to share.
