  • 1.  Density meter options?

    Hello,

    I am currently exploring options to replace our Anton Paar DMA 5000.

    Our sales rep has let us know that our instrument will not be supported beyond 2026, and neither our Alcolyzer nor X Sample will be compatible with the new DMA, so the whole system will have to be replaced.

    Is anyone using anything else that they would recommend?

    What do you use as a cleaner? Instructions say to just rinse with warm water, but mine is getting a little dirty.

    Yeah the warm water rinse wasn't working for me either.

    Hi Megan, 

    We have a DMA4500 M which was given the End Of Life notice about 2 years ago. However, after some back and forth we found that our Serial/Material Number was not part of the EOL. 

    More recently we acquired an Alcolyzer ME which they claimed they had to offload cheap due to non-compatibility with the newest model DMA...After an update they determined that it would actually be compatible, at least according to our sales rep.

    You may have already gone down that road, but it is worth getting them to verify in writing. 

    While looking for an alternative we looked closely at the Beer FOSS system, receiving some rather positive feedback from other breweries using it.
