  • 1.  Companies for quality custom peroxide cured manhole gaskets and TC gaskets?

    Hi, 

    I want to phase out Silicone manhole seals that the brewery I work for has used on their fermenters/mash tun.

    The seals need to be custom made (non standard type seals) and I want peroxide cured EPDM (certification needed). I also want the seals to be preferably non black color unless price would feel cost prohibitive. 

    I have been in contact with a company in new jersey and for some reason they never had an interest to serve me. They said they would come back each time I was in touch with them until they stop responding my messages and even picking up my calls. Some businesses really!? 

    If the company also supplies at great price peroxide EPDM tri-clamp gaskets and EPDM PTFE envelope TC gaskets that is a plus too.

    I have done some research for you and found out that it is possible to have custom molded peroxide-cured EPDM manway seals made (non-standard/custom designs) and can included FDA/USDA-compliant certification. Custom molded parts are our strong suit, though they do involve upfront tooling costs (which vary based on the design complexity and quantity). Even though extrusion isn't feasible for these types of custom manhole seals. 
    Regarding color: Peroxide-cured EPDM is typically black for optimal performance and UV/ozone resistance, but non-black options (like white or other colors) may be possible depending on the compound and your specs-though they could impact pricing or availability.
    If you can send over dimensions, a drawing/sketch, or photos of the current seals (or the manway specs), I can provide a more accurate quote, lead time, and any color/pricing trade-offs. We can also supply high-quality peroxide-cured EPDM tri-clamp gaskets and EPDM PTFE envelope TC gaskets. We would be happy to include those in any discussion if you're interested.

    Did you try BreweryGaskets.com?  I have a custom gasket manufacturer if all else fails, but I think they may be cost prohibitive for you and I will need to do CAD drawings for them, but they may be a last resort.
