    Hellooooooooooo out there!

Covid had put a real damper on our District Northern Rockies (DNR) community. Even though our initials are DNR that does not in fact mean we are refusing to be revived.  Is anyone else ready to start revving this thing back up?

Here are some points for us all to consider if we want to keep DNR in the MBAA:

    1) We need fresh blood! All of our current executive officers are termed out. We intended to elect new ones at our annual meeting in Butte America before the COVID hammer dropped.  Please consider volunteering to be a candidate for the DNR executive team. We are going to need at least a President, Secretary, and BOG rep, (I'm termed out and smelling a little rank).  Current officers can reapply for these roles but we will likely be faced with term limits in the future. So don't be scared to volunteer as this will not be a lifelong commitment.   I'm happy to mentor folks interested in these positions. So be on the look out for an email from me in the future looking for interested parties to take over the executive reins for DNR

    2) Whether or not DNR is resuscitated, if you're an MBAA DNR current member you need to know this news from your friendly BOG rep (me)

       b) In efforts to strengthen member benefits by improving organizational processes, the BOG wants to hear from you about proposed changes to our national bylaws. We have also been working on helping improve the health of districts like ours that are struggling to rebound from the pandemic pause.  Additionally if you are considering joining our District Executive committee, national is developing resources to help us run things smoothly. The other two attached documents provide some background info on these initiatives.  Let us know your comments and concerns by July 21 in order to be heard.

Don't hesitate to reach out to me with your thoughts and concerns.
    Cheers in Beers
