Hello,
We are having occasional issues with our activated carbon filter pads in our filter press and I wondered if anyone had any best practices for using these pads. Our plate and frame is downstream from our centrifuge and to match the manufacturer's recommendation we flow at 8 BBLs/hr. We only use these pads to filter a neutral malt base.
These pads are significantly softer than normal filter pads and we're having trouble getting a proper seal depending on which tank we filter into.
Has anyone else experienced these issues or come up with a workable solution to avoid high losses?
