    Hey all!

    The ASBC is having a webinar on qPCR options out there prior to CBC with quality specialists from two breweries, a yeast lab, and a third-party lab. 

    Personally, I am going to end up with an 18K paperweight with PALL discontinuing their kits and I have multiple friends being impacted by the changes with Chai. We all can benefit from a knowledge share in this qPCRisis!

    Hi Emily! 

    I have already signed up for this webinar, so I am glad to see a bunch of us will be there!
    I just pulled my dusty Chai out (today actually lol) and now I am seeing you say there were also changes with them?? I have not been in the loop with Chai since I used the Pall pretty exclusively, so I would love and tips and intel since I was going to use the Chai in the interim.

    Rob,

    Chai emailed us and I am assuming other customers on 4/4 saying: "Chai will be closing permanently in the upcoming weeks".

    PIKA is still selling their kits and seems to be taking over some of Chai's the technical support. 

    I asked them about getting FAM/HEX calibrators and got a response that Chai will still be selling them for the foreseeable future, PIKA will probably have them and then this interesting statement;" Eventually the new manufacturer who takes over Open qPCR production from us will have the calibrators available as well".
