We have all seen how western North Carolina has been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Many of us have family and friends in our community impacted by the devastation. If you're like us, you've shed a few tears and are looking for ways to help.

With the current state of the situation, there is simply no way we can continue in our planned location and schedule for our Fall technical meeting in Asheville.

We have spoken with Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and have decided to postpone this multi-district technical conference until a later time. Please be on the look-out for those soon to be released announcements.

The leadership team of District Carolinas MBAA have been participating in a series of planning meetings; collaborating efforts with the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild; and are in the process of developing a fundraiser to help those affected by this storm. The funds will go directly to brewers and breweries effected by the storm.

It is our goal to bring the brewing community together to raise support for our friends and family to begin to rebuild. Our speakers have all graciously agreed to change their travel plans for this effort. Many of you have reached out and offered to help with this fundraiser and it's been extremely heartwarming to see this outpouring of support. So here are the details as it stands...

    WHAT: Master Brewers Relief Fundraiser
    WHEN: Friday, November 1st
WHERE: NoDa Brewing, North End, 150 W 32nd St, Charlotte, 28206
    TICKET PRICE: $50 suggested donation
SPONSORSHIP PRICE: $300 suggested donation (Logo will appear on promotional material)
         * Galen, our district treasurer, has set up a venmo account specifically for this event. This will help us tally the amount raised and be transparent about donating it after the event.
         * Again, this is SUGGESTED DONATION. You are not required to donate anything, or you can donate more. The MBAA is not receiving any of the money and it is all going to charity.
