  • ELECTIONS COMING UP - wanna join the team?

Greetings Fellow Members of MBAA District NY!

Thank you so much for the increasing participation over the last two years as we’ve worked to revive District NY! The time has come for elections and we hope you’ll consider voting for us back in, or throwing yourself into the ring to vote for yourself!

Our current team feels like we’re still just getting started, especially with our first intense technical event coming up (please come!), and so we’ll all be running for the same positions if you’ll have us. We do encourage anybody who wants to throw their hats in the ring for our positions to run for them, but if you want to be involved but not in our roles, please consider the 4x new positions listed below.

In addition to the current roles of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Representative to the Board of Governors, we would welcome persons in the following positions:

Secretary – meeting notes as well as general assistance and contributing voice to meeting directions, social media content et all…

Communications/Membership Chair – lead or contribute to membership communication including announcements, garnering feedback, social media content creation/direction etcetera…

Member At Large (2 roles) – contribute to general direction of District NY activity, organization, and content as appropriate.

Please email Rachel Alvarado (rachel.alvarado@scisoc.org) with your desired position, bio, brief mission statement (why you want the role and think you’d be good at it), and headshot by March 30th. Ballots will be sent on March 31st. New officers will be announced on April 11th at our District NY Spring Technical Conference."
