Galen and Ben are leading a malt and hop analysis and interactive experience. Participants will leave with an intimate knowledge of their raw materials, better understanding of farm to brewery, the variables that impact consistency, and how to select the highest quality products.

4:00 PM - MINI-GOLF Tournament at Ripley's Believe It or Not Crazy Golf
An elaborate in-door mini-golf tournament near Broadway at the Beach. We are hoping that members can get an authentic Myrtle Beach experience. Members can register for the mini-golf tournament on site. Prizes will be distributed to the winners.

- Join us on at Voodoo Brewing on Friday August 8th at 6 pm for a welcome get-together.
- Then on Saturday, August 9th, MBAA District Carolinas will be hosted by Grand Strand Brewing for talks by Moh Saade of Fermentis and Andrew Turner of Rocinante Consulting. They will have discussions on yeast, health and dangers. This will be followed by lunch (provided) and then an afternoon raw materials workshop by Galen Smith and Ben Bereznay of Malteurop and Haas. Members will be able to sniff, break, chew, steep, crush, and handle malt and hops in the same workshop that is provided at Hop Harvest and Malt Harvest conferences.
- There will be a mini-golf tournament at Ripley's Crazy Golf with authentic Myrtle Beach prizes. Maybe you'll walk away with a pooka shell necklace...
- And finally, while we are working out details for the Fall Technical at New Realm in Greenville, SC (see below), we want to know where members want to have the Spring Technical. We will hear suggestions and then vote as a group!
