MEETING DETAILS
It’s election time again! The position of Secretary holds shared responsibilities as a district officer and a commitment to the national district and its members. We are excited to offer this opportunity every 2 years to new members as our list of past presidents grows along with our members and brewing community.
Duties for the position include:
• Attend at least 3 of the 4 district meetings per year. Attendance is critical to the functions of the district, as the Secretary is responsible for recording meeting minutes.
• Record meeting minutes, including whether a quorum is present, record attendance, provide a high-level summary of the discussions that take place during the meeting, document motions passed or denied, and confirm prior meeting’s minutes after review by the district officers.
• Record any written actions, including email actions, taken in between meetings.
• Save and catalog meeting minutes and actions for future review as necessary.
• Assist President with logistics of in-person meetings as well as technical assistance, as necessary, with virtual meetings.
• Retain copies of all documents and records of the district, except those connected with the office of the Treasurer.
• Give or cause to be given any required notices of meetings of the district officers and members.

Technical Presentation: Travis Audet – Slant Six Consulting
Travis Audet had been brewing for breweries of all sizes and types for over 30 years. He has achieved the Master Brewer Certification from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling and been awarded the MBAA Award of Honor. Travis will be talking about inclusive design in brewing that can be applied to all scales of brewing.
