7:30 pm: Yeast Nutrition with Eric May

We'll explore the critical nutrients essential for yeast growth and fermentation, including a deeper dive into nitrogen, vitamins, and minerals. Learn how to balance organic and inorganic nitrogen sources to enhance fermentation efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Discover the crucial role of zinc in enzymatic reactions, the impact of vitamins in early fermentation stages, and the benefits of nutrient supplementation, such as improved alcohol yield, reduced fermentation time, and enhanced yeast viability. This session will also feature an interactive group activity to develop nutrient plans for various fermentation goals.
