This season the district will be highlighting the who, what, where, when, and why of safety in our industry. Accidents, injuries, and death are too common in our industry and the scars from skirting safety are sometimes worn as a badge of pride. So that's why District Carolinas has teamed up with leadership from Sierra Nevada and Wicked Weed to bring our members a day of discussion and tours, allowing members to ask questions and contribute to the discussion of safety in our workplace.

Each brewer has a cautionary tale in regards to safety, so they answer Who, What, Where, When, and Whys of Brewery Safety. From national brand to local microbrewery, every brewery leader can find the importance in this presentation.

A multidisciplinary round table discussion offering lessons from three different fields. How to prepare for dangers, what is often overlooked (from the perspective of emergency responders), and how to budget and forecast safety expenses as you grow.

Details: MBAA District Carolinas has partnered with the a national brewery safety organization to present a day of technical talks at Sierra Nevada in Mills River, NC. We'll have leaders from Sierra Nevada, Wicked Weed, and more presenting on how to adapt microbreweries to modern safety practices. Every year there are more injuries and deaths in our industry and we feel that safety is a very pressing issue for EVERYONE. Breakfast, lunch, and tours of Sierra Nevada's facility are on the agenda. Spread the word!

Scholarship: We are excited to announce that we will be providing 5 (FIVE) scholarships to help defer expenses to attend this event. This event will have a lot of valuable information and we don't want ticket prices to deter anyone from improving their company's safety culture.
