District NW is holding its Fall Meeting in Portland, OR on Oct. 14-15 at the Double Tree by Hilton.
In addition to presentations on "Brewing with Fruit" and "Cider-making for Brewers," there will be a Brewing Microbiology and Laboratory Techniques Workshop on offer to individuals seeking insight on on how to equip a laboratory, how to devise a sampling plan for routine process control, and how to process samples and correctly interpret the results. A segment of the workshop will also demonstrate the use of PCR (polymerase chain reaction) as a quality program component. Seating for the workshop is limited to 50 individuals.
